In the Friday Night Funkin' mod, he displays a pride in its skills, as when it was told of Boyfriend's skills, he attempted to challenge them to a duel, but Boyfriend challenged the Devourer to a rap battle instead, which the Devourer accepted while comedically calling the Boyfriend a 'Fortnite Ninja impersonator' on the condition the Boyfriend's mic is turned off since his theme songs are the favourites of the creator of the mod. The Devourer also is known to break the fourth wall, as he displays confusion when the Terrarian is hit by his tail out of all his body parts, as well as calling out the Terrarian if it attempts to use an instakill weapon or ability to cheat. The Devourer also speaks in a rather 'edgy' way, often referring to the Terrarian as 'kid', although this may also be the fact that the Devourer is far older than the Terrarian. However, The Devourer also shows a lust for power and a sadistic side to him, such as his desire to kill Yharim and devour the universe as an ultimate god. It is also shown he is relatively protective to more of his kind, as he adopted Storm Weaver as one of his own, the Devourer saw no reason to kill the Storm Weaver unless it gets strong enough and rebels against him.
When defeated, his weakened servants made one last stand to put a stop to the Terrarian, and when they were defeated the Devourer of Gods transformed into his final form to defeat the Terrarian once and for all, but was unsuccessful as the Terrarian defeated him after a long and epic battle.Īlthough the Devourer is relatively beast-like in nature, he is extremely intelligent and sophisticated, as he was able to outsmart and overpower Astrum Deus as well as make a deal with Yharim. When the Devourer heard the news of the defeat of its servants, he fought the Terrarian himself. The Terrarian exploited this and used Providence's artifacts to force her into descending prematurely in order to reclaim it, and after her defeat, her artifacts were used to lure the servants in so the Terrarian could defeat them as well. Recently the Devourer and his servants were hunting down Providence, a goddess that would destroy the entire world if she were allowed to gain enough strength. They got a share of the power the Devourer stole from his victims and in return they were his loyal servants. The Devourer also acquired his own servants, an assassin named Signus, a Ceaseless Void and another of his own kind. The Devourer was also tasked with defeating another giant space worm, Astrum Deus, and although Astrum Deus was far larger and stronger than the Devourer, the Devourer managed to outsmart Astrum Deus and tear the god to shreds. Yharim also gave the Devourer a set of armour with reinforced shells and the durability to not even be scratched by explosions. Soon after, Yharim captured two of his most powerful enemies, and threw them into the pocket dimension the Devourer resided in, and listened as the two demigods were torn to shreds by the Devourer. Yharim would feed the Devourer the gods he conquered in his tyranny and in return the Devourer would be his eternal servant. When it killed and ate a portion of Yharim's soldiers, Yharim initially was going to kill it, but then realised how he could make good use of the beast's power, and the two struck a deal. Out of desperation, the Devourer used the energy of those it had eaten to create its own pocket dimension which is resides in, where it would leave when hungry to launch sneak attacks on prey. It tunnelled through the world, eating and destroying anything that dared to face it, but its reign of terror was shortlived, as its prey began to learn to dodge its lunges and leave it to starve. Previously, worms were viewed as nothing but pests, the Devourer changed that. The Devourer of Gods was a member of a unique species of predatory worm that could steal and use the abilities of their victims if they desired. In Friday Night Funkin' it takes on a way smaller, almost adorable, form with larger eyes and holds a microphone in its tail. In its second form, it is way larger, has a different jaw shape, more spiked armour, and streaks of pink and blue (most notably the head and tail). The Devourer of Gods, in its first form, resembles a huge worm-like entity with purple armour, blue eyes and large jaws, making it resemble some sort of cross between a snake and a bobbit worm.
